A wonderful depiction of the model, this photo captures an elegance that seems pensive and calm, but energetic as well. The expression of the model is one of contemplation; it seems that her mind is in the transition from an idea long considered, to a more spontaneous one.
The juxtaposition of activity in one arm with tranquility in the other produces the primary sense of energy in the models pose. The legs further accentuate this energy, they appear to have only recently switched to that position. The motions of the body perhaps in tandem with the motions of the mind. The contrast between the lightness of the model's skin, and the darkness of the furniture is of note, as it brings the model to the foreground. This contrast also gives the model's skin a very faint, smooth glow. The blue of the eyes is activated by the red make-up and apparel. The furniture also has a blue tint which works very well with the model's apparel and the red wall.
Texturally the photo is very rich. The model's smooth, sleek, physique contrasts and heightens the sense of movement when presented against the static furniture; the carvings in the furniture resemble waves, which symbolize water.
Water, usually blue would be the perfect parallel to this photo, as water can be both calm and energetic in the same instance; much like the elements in this photo.
Overall excellent, absolutely stunning.
If I must make one suggestion for improvement of the photo (and this is very minor), by the model's right leg, the hand of the left arm can be barely seen; if the hand would just be slightly moved closer to the model as to conceal it completely by the leg, it would make the pose more dynamic.
Personally I really enjoy this photo and the amazing amount of detail latent within that mysterious expression and really fantastic pose. I really like that furniture too.
how does one become Ophelia-Overdose they bathe in awesome sauce that's how! what I wouldn't give to model the stuff you do! jealousy! I love your work you definitely deserve every gorgeous picture you take <3
Oh my gosh, Your legs go on FOREVER! I love that you're so versatile, and you're so successful as well. It's good to seem some variety in body shapes when looking at high fashion, and I'm glad you've aspired and reached the position you're in now. You know how to work your body, and your poses are never the same. There's every subtlety in your poses, from simple to dynamic and beautiful. I can't wait to see what you have next!
