Great use of the curtains as a framing device! It gives the piece an antique portrait feel to it. Great choice in using a red palette, it lends a dark quality to the piece. I really like that most of the reds are close in hue and shades except the figure's hair, which kind of stands out, but it helps draw the eye to the porcelain-like face and very pouty lips. I find the figure the most compelling though. The first thing I notice is the missing leg, I find it very uncomfortable. However I then notice that the figure seems to be hovering above the chair. She looks frozen, like the view has looked upon her and she has noticed in a very confrontational way. There is also a very subtle blur in the foot that I find very interesting,it's creating the only real movement. One would think that with all the objects here and there the piece would be too busy or full, but there is a nice balance between the objects and the stilled figure.
I love this photograph. And I love how you have no limits with this art work. You over accesserise, and and make the setting and the background really work with the model. The costume is rather unique and lovely. The corsage design is very professional. The make-up is very good, showing that you took every bit of your time to make it perfect. And don't get me started on the scenery. You did a very good job adding every bit of detail to the setting and a romanticist style to it. And the model has great poise, and attitude. Lovely.
