Obviously your focus here is color and you use it successfully, along with repeated motifs that add interest and texture.

My main critiques would be that the composition is a little straight up-and-down, top-heavy, and there's a lot competing for the viewer's attention with no clear hierarchy.

You have a good opportunity to lead the eye smoothly into the frame with the kicky hair but it's squandered because not only do the model's arm and the frame block or cut off a bit of it but the nice swoopy curve of the hair armature that would lead us down the model's face is broken by the frame.

The area of the model's face has a juxtaposition of problems. Her hands are right there and if they were intended to frame her face, they aren't quite there. Instead, they seem to clutter the area. Honestly, I don't think her face needs framing, there is so much going on here. Her arms akimbo compound this problem and also lead out of the frame by the elbows in two different directions so the eye doesn't know where to go next other than straight down where there is significantly less going on, giving the composition a top-heavy feel.

My suggestions are to plan your composition so you know how you want to guide the viewer through it. Decide what's important: what elements do you want them to look at, in what order. Determine what lines can/will lead them there and how to emphasize (using your color and motifs) their next visual destination so the eye knows where to look next. If the arms are not important (which they don't seem to be) get them out of the way and maximize on the piping and curves of the model's corseted body and the spiral hair. Otherwise, make the model's arms more useful as part of the composition, either aiding to lead the eye into the visual field or to frame an element of the composition.

I would also add the cropping is a bit claustrophobic but I don't get the impression from the rest of the piece that this is intentional or a theme so I would recommend opening up the field of view a bit more.

Finally, you have such fierce colors happening here but the model's expression doesn't support that emotion or vibe with a correspondingly fierce or impassioned look. In fact, it doesn't look like she's feeling much of anything. Her expression is unremarkable and bland, making it look like the costume is wearing her rather than the other way around. It would really unify the feel of the work if her face tells the viewer that her pretty clothes are more than a costume but a projection of who she is. That the vibrant colors, daring outfit and piquant textures are a reflection of something inside of her. Otherwise, she might as well be a mannequin.

To conclude, I think you have a great amount of technique to bring to bear and, though I've seen similar subject matter on dA, this piece has a creative and appealing use of color and costuming. I think the overall impact is limited by the execution of your vision. This piece would resonate more if there was a strong idea or emotion to accompany the strong colors.

I think what you did here is fantastic, every bit, every small detail stands out on its own quite well. There are so many strong points within this i will have to go one by one.

First off there is a very sexy feeling to this piece, but you achieved this without doing something very, how do you say, provocative. You kept it clean and it still comes off as sexy. While there is cleavage, its not where the attention is immediately drawn too when i look at this my eyes go straight to her face and hair.

Her expression speaks volumes, while every thing around her seems to be flirty and eye popping with the color choices, her face has a soft and delicate far away look. Even with dramatic colors and make up, her face retains this subtle softness to it. It contrasts with the surrounding, but its because of this that most (of my) attention went straight for her expression.

Everything about this is beautifully done, everything about this is just as artistic as a painting. And in a way portrays what a painting can some times fail to do, which is capture an emotion.

The over all color choice is wonderfully chosen, its so lively and eye catching. Her hair speaks volumes about the unique and originality that had to go into her over all character. Its in this that i pull together a sense of your vision for this piece. Because it takes quite a bit of forethought and planing and a true vision, to really pull through and actually accomplish the real purpose you saw in this.

Im giving you 5 stars straight through, i can see absolutely no weak points in this piece, and for as much as a lot of these little things stand out from one and another, they all combine effortlessly and magically. The end result is something both beautiful and surreal. This truly is a work of art, congratulations on a job well done.
